
Rachel Higginson
Rachel Higginson, MPH, RDN, CSSD, CD is the Director of Sports Nutrition for BYU Athletics and has been a sports dietitian at BYU for 18 years. She holds a Master’s in Public Health (2023) and a BS in Dietetics (2003) from BYU. A certified specialist in sports dietetics, Rachel is passionate about helping athletes optimize performance and develop a healthy relationship with food.
She fuels athletes through nutrition education, meal planning, and consultations on topics like performance, weight management, injury recovery, and disordered eating. She oversees the Fueling Station/Nutrition Center and co-teaches Health 201.
Previously, she worked as a clinical dietitian at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center, Central Utah Clinic, and Provo Canyon School. She lives in Spanish Fork, Utah, with her husband Kevin and their children Tyler and Ava.
